Constant power heating cable composition structure and characteristics

Author:

product structure

Constant power electric heating belts are divided into parallel electric heating belts (heating cables) and series electric heating belts. Constant power parallel electric heating belts are referred to as parallel electric heating belts because their multiple heating nodes are connected in parallel over the entire length. They are composed of power bus and bus insulation, main insulation, heating wire, outer sheath, metal shielding net, and reinforced sheath. The power bus is two or three parallel insulated copper wires, and electric heating wires are wound on its surface, and the heating wires are connected to the bus at a certain distance ("i.e., heating node length") to form a continuous parallel resistor. After the bus is energized, each parallel resistor heats up, thus forming a continuous heating belt: constant power series electric heating belts are composed of power bus and heating core, composite insulation, outer sheath, copper braiding, and reinforcement layer. According to Joule's law, the current continuously releases energy through the conductor to form a continuous and uniformly heated electric heating belt.

4. Nickel-chromium alloy heating wire 5. Outer sheath insulation layer (fluorine material) 6. Metal shielding layer 7. Strengthened protective layer (fluorine material)

Features

The heat output per unit length of the constant power parallel heating belt is constant. The longer the heating belt is, the greater the total power output. The heating belt can be cut to any length required on site. In addition, the heating belt is flexible and can be easily attached to the surface of the pipeline. The metal shielding net on the outer layer of the heating belt can prevent static electricity and be safely grounded. It not only improves the overall strength of the heating belt, but also plays a role in heat transfer and heat dissipation.

When used in conjunction with a thermostat, constant power parallel heating tapes can accurately maintain the medium temperature of the pipeline or heating body.

The reinforced heating belt is an ordinary heating belt with an insulating layer on the outside, and the rest of the structure is the same as the ordinary heating belt. The main features of the reinforced heating belt are higher mechanical strength and stronger corrosion resistance than the ordinary heating belt, but slightly lower thermal conductivity. It is mainly suitable for underground pipelines and places with corrosive gases. Due to the limited cross-sectional area of the busbar, in order to avoid too much voltage drop, the maximum length is limited when the single-point power supply is unidirectional. When the single-point power supply is bidirectional, the length can be doubled. (As shown in the figure below) If the pipeline that needs to be heated is longer, multi-point power supply can be used, or the RDC series heating belt produced by our company can be used.

Applications

Electric heating belts are mainly used for antifreeze and heat preservation of pipelines, valves, pumps, storage tanks, reaction towers, instrument boxes, etc., or to maintain the process temperature of instrument pipelines. The specific application occasions are:

1. Use in low-freezing pipelines with continuous flow under normal conditions to avoid solidification of the medium due to cessation of flow.

2. Heating and insulation of liquid pipelines that require strict control of operating temperature.

3. Antifreeze of tap water pipes and valves in cold and freezing areas, antifreeze of drainage pipes, pumping pipes and condensation pipes.

4. Antifreeze of offshore platform pipelines.

5.Heating and insulation of general pipelines and instruments.

6. Heating of wellhead oil production shaft (replacing water jacket) and sewage well.

7. Prevent airport runways from ice, snow and freezing.

8. Antifreeze maintenance of concrete products.
