    ► Description of performance characteristics

    1. The installation site is not restricted, both indoors and outdoors;

    2. The maximum signal line distance between the host and the ice and snow sensor is 30 meters.

    3. The ice and snow sensor controller can automatically adjust the start time and delay time of heating according to the temperature and the amount of snowfall to achieve a balance between energy saving and snow removal effects.

    4. The trigger temperature of the ice and snow sensor controller is factory set to +4°C. Basically, no adjustment is required. If there is a special need, it can be adjusted in the range of +1C to +7°C.

    Adjustment method: There is a mark next to the knob on the lower side of the ice and snow controller. Unscrew the screw and you can see the arrow direction of the internal potentiometer. Turn it to the desired temperature. After adjustment, tighten the sealing screw.

    ► Performance description

    The ice and snow sensor is a sensor device that transmits the temperature and relative humidity signals of the measured environment to the host.

    On the special bracket, the annular detection surface is vertically upward, and it is recommended to be a certain distance above the ground, 0.5 meters is enough. Avoid being buried by snow, and there should be no obstructions to avoid being unable to sense snow/rain due to the annular detection surface being blocked when snowing.

    ► TATE-RSSC-II ice and snow sensor controller installation steps and precautions

    The ice and snow sensor RSSC-SS-II is required to be fixed on a special bracket during installation, with the annular detection surface vertically upward. It is recommended that it be at least 0.5 meters above the ground to avoid being buried by snow. There should be no obstructions to avoid being unable to sense snow/rain due to the annular detection surface being blocked when it snows.

    When connecting an external extension cable, the connector must be well sealed and a waterproof sheath must be installed. It is strictly forbidden to immerse the cable in water.

    The installation of the ice and snow sensor controller TATE-RSSC-II should follow the principle of convenient observation and operation. It can be installed on outdoor walls, indoors, or in electrical boxes.

    ► Installation steps

    If it is the first time to install, you need to connect the signal lines and power lines indoors according to the wiring diagram (the control lines of the controller host do not need to be connected), so that you can master the wiring and control methods of the entire set of equipment.

    The power cord and control line of the ice and snow sensor controller are 1 meter long when they leave the factory. If there are special requirements and the wires need to be extended, please choose the same wires as the equipment. The power cord is 3*0.5 RVV high-voltage sheathed wire, and the control line is 2*0.5 RVV high-voltage sheathed wire.

    1: Fix the ice and snow sensor to the bracket, and then according to the precautions and requirements, it is recommended to install the bracket on a 0.5-meter-high pole or wall. There should be no obstructions around the ice and snow sensor. The distance between the ice and snow sensor controller and the ice and snow sensor should be within 30 meters. The length of the ice and snow sensor data cable is 3 meters when the equipment leaves the factory. If you need to extend the data cable, please purchase the standard data cable and waterproof connector provided by the manufacturer. If you purchase it yourself, please choose a 5-core shielded cable with a wire diameter of 0.3 RVVP standard cable. Pay attention to the wire color when wiring. Connect the same color. Connecting the wrong wire may burn the host. Connect the signal line, control line, and power line of the ice and snow sensor controller respectively.

    2: Power-on detection; turn on the power of the ice and snow sensor controller.

    3: Use the manual dial switch to check whether the AC contactor connected to the control line of the controller host is opened or closed normally.

    4: Turn the manual dial switch from the reset state to the automatic position.
