    According to the environment of different gas pipelines and the precise maintenance temperature and the local minimum temperature, and the different temperature control methods, there are two different types of electric heating belts, respectively: 

    1. The self-regulating electric heat tracing is based on the characteristics of its own PTC, it can change according to the temperature of the environment and the temperature of the medium in the pipe, and the heating power can be automatically controlled within a certain range, and the gas pipeline antifreeze generally chooses the low temperature self-control temperature electric belt of 0-65 °C curve, which is more suitable for the pipeline is not long, the number of sections is more, and there is no need for precise temperature control. It can be cut at will according to the requirements, and the installation and maintenance are more convenient. Electric heating is increasingly used in gas pipelines, and it is the hottest electric heating product in gas pipeline applications.  

    2. After the constant power electric belt is energized, it heats up with constant power, and does not change with the change of ambient temperature, so it must be controlled by a thermostat It is better than the thermal stability of the self-controlled temperature electric belt (the safety performance of the self-limiting electric belt is better), it can be used in the case of low and precise temperature control, it can be sheared, and it can be used with segments, the length of the pipe is not long, and the automatic temperature control electric belt is the same. However, the series constant power electric belt can be used in the long-distance pipeline for heat tracing, which can be more than 1,500 meters long, and only one power point is needed. This is suitable for large-scale electric heat tracing projects, such as the West-East Gas Pipeline. 

    ► Construction and installation

    Installation specification steps: check whether the surface of the pipeline is polished smooth and free of burrs and sharp edges, dry and free of dirt; Check whether the paint inside the pipe is dry and the gas has evaporated for more than 3 weeks; Check whether the corresponding heating tracing materials and accessories are consistent with the materials in the design table; Check whether the materials required for construction are in good condition, etc. 

    Construction and installation points: the installation of electric heat tracing on the pipeline generally adopts the way of straight laying or winding, during installation, every interval of 300-600mm is fixed with heat-resistant pressure-sensitive tape, after the installation is completed, along the direction of the electric heat tracing is covered with a layer of aluminum foil tape, which is used to increase the heating area of the pipeline, the power junction box and the temperature sensor are fixed on the pipeline with stainless steel tape, and the two-way junction box and the three-way junction box can be fixed with heat-resistant pressure-sensitive tape when the temperature is not high. When the temperature is higher than 200°C, it is generally fixed with stainless steel cable ties.
