    The temperature sensor on the tank body will sense the temperature through the signal cable to the temperature control instrument in the electric heat tracing control box, the temperature control instrument will receive the temperature compared with the set temperature, when the current temperature is greater than the set temperature, the electric heat trace will not work, when the current temperature is less than the set temperature, the electric heat trace starts to work, in order to avoid frequent start-up, generally set a return difference, the electric heat tracing control box can also be connected with the central control room or DCS system for remote communication, and the start and stop of the electric heat trace can be remotely observed and controlled.

    ► Construction and installation

    Installation specification steps: check whether the surface of the tank is polished smooth without burrs and sharp edges, dry and free of dirt; Check whether the paint of the tank is dry and the gas has volatilized for more than 3 weeks; Check whether the corresponding heating tracing materials and accessories are consistent with the materials in the design table; Check whether the materials required for construction are in good condition, etc. 

    Key points of construction and installation: when installing electric heat tracing on the tank, the surface of the tank should generally be smoothed first, and then a layer of barbed wire mesh should be laid on the tank (or paste insulation nails or welding hooks on the tank, etc.) on the tank, and finally install the electric heat tracing, after the installation is completed, cover a layer of aluminum foil tape along the direction of the electric heat tracing, which is used to increase the heating area of the tank, and the installation spacing is obtained by calculating the heat dissipation and surface area of the tank.
