    Oil well electric heating system is a complete set of downhole electric heating technology and device specially developed for thick oil, ultra-thick oil, highly waxed oil and gas and shale oil thermal recovery process, which can be applied in both onshore and offshore oilfield exploitation, and it can effectively enhance the crude oil recovery rate, ensure the stability of oil and gas production, increase the production capacity of oil and gas, and reduce the total cost of oil and gas exploitation.

    The system utilizes the principle of thermal effect of electric current, converts the electric energy of industrial frequency power supply directly into thermal energy, and the long line heating has good high temperature performance.The heating length can be up to 2000m or more, the highest voltage level 4160Vac, the unit heating power can be up to 5000W/m, and the maximum temperature that can be withstood is up to 1000℃.

    Structure

    Consisting of an integrated cable, termination and pigtail, the heater is usually prefabricated at the manufacturer's factory for use directly in the well.Customers with the appropriate design and fabrication capabilities can also fabricate their own terminations and pigtails into heating devices.

    The integrated cable consists of two parts, the cold end cable (commonly known as the "cold section") with the same outer diameter and the heating cable (commonly known as the "hot section"), which is formed in the manufacturing process into a metal-sheathed mineral-insulated cable with the same outer diameter and continuous integration.Among them:

    --Cold section: used for electric power transmission in heating cables, with no obvious heat generation;

    --Hot section: utilizing the thermal effect of electric current to convert the introduced electric energy into thermal energy, with obvious heat generation and higher temperature.

    Its structure consists of cold section and hot section conductor, tightly compacted mineral insulation powder and metal sheath.Distinguished by the number of conductor cores, there are the following three structural forms:

    (1) Single-core, applied to:

    -- three-phase electrical circuits (3 cables).

    -- 2-phase electrical circuits (2 cables).

    --Single-phase electrical circuits (2 cables);

    (2) Two-core, applied to single-phase or two-phase electrical circuits;

    (3) three-core, applied to three-phase circuits.

    The materials of construction of integrated cables are shown in the table below, in which the metal sheath material should be preferred according to the operating temperature, corrosiveness of the surrounding medium, etc., so as to ensure the expected economic service life.

    ► Working Principle

    Hollow rod electric heating system is in the hollow pumping rod in the hole in the cable and hollow rod body to form a circuit, through the different frequency of the alternating current, the use of the internal skin effect in the hollow rod wall to produce heat, through heat conduction, the whole process of heating the crude oil in the oil pipe, in order to increase the temperature of the crude oil in the pipe, reduce the viscosity of the crude oil, improve its liquidity, so as to effectively exploit the high-viscosity, high freezing point, high-waxed crude oil.When the cable inside the hollow pumping rod is energized with alternating current, it produces internal skin effect, the current flows in the inner wall of the hollow rod, and the outer wall is basically current free, which can be regarded as insulator to ensure the work safety.

    Laying Installation

    The well entry operation of the integrated heating cable assembly can be selected according to its application mode and site conditions:

    (1) Directly into the well with continuous tubing injection head, applicable to direct into the well and nested into the well installation method;

    (2) Tying into the well with the sucker rod, tubing or continuous oil pipe, applicable to the tying into the well installation method;

    (3)The integrated heating cable assembly is threaded into the continuous tubing and then put into the well with a continuous tubing truck, and the site needs to be equipped with the site conditions for the continuous tubing to be unfolded and laid flat, which is suitable for the application of direct heating of oil reservoirs and in-situ conversion heating of shale oil./a67
